Our first cranky day

So today we were a little bit cranky. Taylor wanted nothing to due with belly time or lying on her back. She sat up on her own for a very short period. Actually, it was more like we sat her up, let go, and she didn't fall right over like she has the previous days. Small steps...

We began video-taping today, although Taylor felt like being a little camera shy. There was a little laughing and smiling though. Overall, she seemed happiest today when she was just being held. She responded very well to being held by mom. She was definitely a mama's girl today.

Maegan and I walked around the playground with her at the end of the day, and then she rested her little head right on my chest and just enjoyed the ride. It was adorable.

Maegan is already trying to teach her to make animal noises, and Taylor got her first penguin doll. She will be just like her mom when all is said and done...

Taylor heard all about the love and support she is receiving from her family today. Thanks to everyone for the loving comments yesterday! I told her about her grandparents, her aunts and uncles, and her cousins. She is ready to play with Josh, Kayla, Nicholas, and Aubrey! She also heard about her two cats today, and how not to pull their tails when she gets home.

By the way, she said DADA! Maegan thinks I am dillusional, but I heard it...

Sounds like bonding is going well. It took us about a week to feel like we were not just baby sitters, and then another week for our son (10 months at the time) to really look excited and content when we arrived for our visit. After that warm up period he was pure energy at our playtimes.

See if you can sneak a peak at potty time, we have a priceless picture of his (all covered) on the little potty's.

We also found out hat after about a week, our son started to show us all that he could do with crawling, walking and scooting. up unitl then he was just playing us nad getting us to hold him the whole time. Little bugger!

Hi I just came across your Blog. She is beautiful. We adopted twice from Aktobe. Where are you from in Michigan? We are in Harrison Twp., which if you don't know is Northeast of Detroit. I look forward to following your blog. We adopted in March of 2002 and then again in October of 2003. Both of our children were 8 months old at the time. Enjoy your time and best wishes. Marcy
