Today, Taylor was happy and quiet. She chattered just a little, but for the most part she just wanted to hang out. Uncle Keith, she did say YO just for you... She was quite cute with the mirror as you can see. She seemed to respond well to her reflection.

The weather today was cool (high 60s) and it is very rainy. We did experience our first dust storm the other day, which was quite an experience. Its very dry and flat here, so when the wind really starts kicking up, the dust is brutal. It looked almost like a hurricane, save the part that we are thousands of miles from the ocean. The rain seems needed. We hope it doesn't last too long though. It has become our routine to get out and walk every day. Its our entertainment and our exercise.

We are having quite a few issues with the internet today, so we will keep this post short before we lose it again.

I saw your post about all the baby stuff being very expensive. Try the Pucha mall, we bought a stroller there along with a potty seat like the orphanage has.

It's not dirt cheap, or as cheap as the bazaar, but you can navigate it without a translator. Pucha is within a block of the MOE and the Cine Tempe mall (aka italian Mall). The italian mall is nice to look around, but quite pricey. We did find a store with cute onseys for about $8/each.

Both are walkable from the apartment. As an added bonus, the italian mall was pretty good pizza, although they look at your weird when you order a pizza for take out to take home and eat. also in the Italian mall is a nice restaurant called Venzia (hence the name - Italian Mall). i liked their beat and 'vitamin' salad and their rice dishes. It's not cheap, but it does have AC!

Hello again! We figured you were having internet trouble or you were too busy to post to the blog.

Just a question, how do you pay for things over there? Do you use a credit card? Do the stores accept this? Or do you have to exchange cash when you arrive?

Another question, do you have a return ticket bought to come back? Could you do this in advance? Is it possible that you are going to have to adjust the return travel date?

Are you planning to stay there until you can bring the child home, or are you returning for 15 days and then returning to finalize things?

Have fun and enjoy your experience over there. You are making memories that will last a lifetime. And this blog is helping to document it.

Congrats on Taylor! She is adorable. We are having fun following along...it brings back memories, and gives me my KZ fix. It sounds like you guys are getting along great, and Taylor is bonding well. What room is she in? Our favorite was Stacking Dolls. Good luck with Sunday's no visit. We will continue to follow along. God Bless,

Thanks for sharing your blog. The picture of her in front of the mirrow is beautiful. It will be a classic one for the rest of her life. =)

Question: What is your coordinator like? What is her day to day role with you guys? Does she frequently see staff from the orphanage that you are at? Do you guys interact with the orphanage staff at all? Do you get to see the rest of the orphanage?
