We are here!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we made it safely to Astana! The flights went well and we are in a hotel until tomorrow. We will make a longer post soon, as right now we are typing from an internet cafe. We met our daughter today and she is beautiful! We will be sure to post pictures with the next post!

Talk to you all soon!

Maegan and Tony,
Yay! You made it! Can't wait to see pictures. Our papers are there, and our case worker said they are currently determining where we'll be coming to!

We adopted our daughter Alia from the Astana baby house in June 2000. She is the joy of our lives! Just last week she had open heart surgery to repair a birth defect ... and is doing remarkably well ... would it be possible for you to share this information with Dr. Alma and the other workers at the orphanage? We have a blog with information and photos at http://howsalia.blogspot.com/
